Favorite Iraqi city name
Over the past several weeks with the focus on Iraq and the war in the news it has been fun to hear all the different names for Iraq cities . What is your favorite Iraq city/town? Mine so far is Kut (an Arabic word for fort, which rhymes with foot, though the news media commonly pronounces it wrong as koot as in cootie). Kut is in the provence of Wasit, which is another name I like.
